Bislang haben sich 15 Organisationen zum South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) zusammengeschlossen, um Austausch und Zusammenarbeit untereinander und mit Workcamp-Organisationen aus aller Welt zu ermöglichen. Die Camps in der Balkanregion sind oft recht kurz. Daher lohnt sich eine Kombination von zwei Camps der gleichen Organisation. Wegen der geringen Entfernungen zwischen den jetzt unabhängigen Teilrepubliken ist auch eine Kombination mit Camps von anderen SEEYN-Organisationen leicht möglich. Um Versicherungsschutz musst du dich selbst kümmern. Wir können dir einen Fahrtkostenzuschuss von 100€ auszahlen, wenn alle Kriterien erfüllt sind. | |

WORK: Volunteers will work in the two monastery complexes and its surroundings. Daily work will be up to 6 hours per day. Work will contains clean up actions and horticultural arranging of the monastery yard, fixing inventory and helping in daily working duties in monasteries.Volunteers will enjoy natural beauty of Slepce and nearby villages and learn about local customs and socialize with local people. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about monastery tourism in Demir Hisar municipality. Also volunteers will have workshops about making honey process and icons.
ACCOMODATION AND FOOD: Volunteers will be accommodated in the monastery complex. Please bring sleeping bags. Showers and toilets available...There will be plenty of food of different kinds (vegetarian food included). Volunteers will help in food preparation in cooperation with the local cook.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: 2,5 km from village Slepce near Demir Hisar, 25 km from Bitola
REQUIREMENTS: No special skills required but interest in rural and monastery tourism appreciated.

PROJECT: Bitola (formerly Monastir or Manastir; known also by several alternative names) is a city in the southwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. The city is an administrative, cultural, industrial, commercial, and educational centre. It is located in the southern part of the Pelagonia valley, surrounded by the Baba and Nide mountains, 14 km north of the Meditlija-Niki border crossing with Greece. It is an important junction connecting the south of the Adriatic Sea with the Aegean Sea and Central Europe. It is known from the Ottoman period as the city of the consuls, as many European countries have consulates in Bitola. According to some sources, Bitola is the second largest town in the country and to others the third. Bitola is also the centre of the Bitola Municipality. This year Bitola Open City Festival will have its eleventh edition and will be full of happenings like rock concert as the highlight of the gathering, graffiti gallery, rollerblading competition, street theatre, workshops, jam sessions evenings.
WORK: Volunteers will work on festival like staff. They will be in charge for logistics preparation and realization of the festival. Daily work depends of the day but it won´t be longer then 3- 4 hours. Also, volunteers will have creative workshops and will prepare short artistic performance which will be part of the festival s program.
