Mit Unterstützung der dänischen Jugendorganisation MS wurden in den meisten mittlerweile unabhängigen Staaten Ex-Jugoslawiens Workcamp-Organisationen aufgebaut. Bislang haben sich 15 Organisationen zum South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) zusammengeschlossen, um Austausch und Zusammenarbeit untereinander und mit Workcamp-Organisationen aus aller Welt zu ermöglichen. Unser Partner in Kroatien heißt Volunteer Centre Zagreb (VCZ). Das Volunteer Centre Zagreb bietet nun schon seit einigen Jahren eine größere Anzahl von Workcamps an.  

Die Camps in der Balkanregion sind oft recht kurz. Daher lohnt sich eine Kombination von zwei Camps der gleichen Organisation. Wegen der geringen Entfernungen zwischen den jetzt unabhängigen Teilrepubliken ist auch eine Kombination mit Camps von anderen SEEYN-Organisationen leicht möglich. Um Versicherungsschutz musst du dich selber kümmern.
Wir können dir einen Fahrtkostenzuschuss über 50€ auszahlen, wenn die Kriterien erfüllt sind.

Kroatisches Newcomerfestival
Kroatien    HR-VCZ 9.1    CROATIAN MUSIC FESTIVAL (CMF) 2012 - ZABOK (ZABOK)    01.06.-17.06.2012    FEST   7vols
PROJECT: The Croatian Music Festival (CMF) is a festival which attracts many demo bands from all over Croatia to compete at the festival and gives them an opportunity to start their music careers.
WORK: The camp will last 15 days. Volunteers will work 6 hours a day with 2 days off during the 15-day period. Volunteers should be prepared to carry out the following tasks: -daily cleaning of the living room
- cleaning of the windows in the place where the festival will take place
-setting up the stage
- setting up concert gear
- communicating with the performers
- communicating with the media
- documenting of the festival - giving the prize to the winner
- setting up posters
- workshops in their own countries
- public works.
ACCOMODATION: Volunteers will be situated in the Green Hall, in the Youth Centre. They will have available: kitchen, bathroom and Internet. They need to bring their own surface for sleeping and a sleeping bag.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Zabok is a small town north of Zagreb. We will show a short film about youth associations in Krapina-zagorje County. Also, a lecture on the Democracy on the Workplace will take place. Besides that, we will organize a minimum of one trip on the introduction of the Croatian history to the volunteers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bring typical staffs from your country, such as games, music, food...The organizing of the Festival implies hard physical work, hence every day, the heavy gear will be carried. Because of the nature of this job, we will not be able to fully stick to the planned working hours, although we will strongly try. Volunteers should take their role in the Festival seriously and be ready for the team work.

Umweltprojekt im Freiluftmuseum

PROJECT: Kumrovec is famous for its Ethnological Museum Staro Selo (Old Village) with very well preserved village houses from the turn of 19th/20th century. The reconstruction and redecoration of these houses started in 197. So far 40 houses and other farmstead facilities have been restored, which makes Staro Selo the most attractive place of this kind in Croatia. This is the second year that workcamp is organized in Kumrovec, contributing to improve and maintain the picturesque image of the village. http://mdc.hr/kumrovec/eng/index.html
WORK: Springs and wells of drinking water in Kumrovec and surrounding villages - field research, scanning the todays situation of springs and wells (if they are in function or not?), how do owner plan to use them in future, if they do? Traditional garden plants in Kumrovec and surrounding villages - field research, discovering the traditional plants, terminology (nomenclature) including practical work and possibility of flower beds cultivation and planting certain types of plants (if weather conditions will allow it).
ACCOMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated in the Staro Selo Museum, in a traditional house, and the food will be arranged at the local restaurant.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Volunteers will be introduced to local customs and tradition through permanent exhibition in Staro selo museum and through involvement in the presentation of work of traditional crafts. The results of analyzed topics volunteers can show to local community by setting up an exhibition inside the museum. Ecology workshops.

Kreative Workshops für Kinder und Jugendliche

PROJECT: The Camp is located in the small industrial town of Kutina 80km from the Croatian capital Zagreb, 30km from the border to Bosnia et Herzegovina. Work will take place in a dormitory in Kutina. The local organization is an association for social development. UP Association has 7 years of experience in organizing voluntary workcamps. Most of the volunteers job is to design and conduct themed creative workshops with children and adolescents aged 9-16 years according to his/her own idea. These can be outdoor activities, art activities, language courses, organizing board games, etc. Volunteers can arrive on 23/06 and leave on 08/07)
WORK: Work with children will be held every working day as agreed with the children and campleaders. Every day preparations for the next day activities will be carried out. Volunteers will be able to work alone or in conjunction with other volunteers. Additional jobs for public benefit: until the term of the camp the organizer in cooperation with local government will find a public building / area of interest to children and young people for enhancing/rearrangement. A campaign will be carried out along with children and workshop participants, being adjusted to our profile and possibilities.
ACCOMODATION: Accommodation is arranged in a boarding school (dormitory) in Kutina, near the center of town. 4 and more-bedded rooms, shared bathroom, shared social room with music unit and TV, kitchen, dining room, study room in a neighboring building, library, classrooms, and most of work will be held on the yard in the shade of an old walnut. There is a small sports ground. There is internet access.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Kutina - very well connected with Zagreb, where the majority of volunteers will arrive by plane, train or bus. For further information follow: www.kutina.hrThe local organizer will prepare a special educational and entertainment program:
- Exploring the city and the history of the historic sites(Church of Our Lady of the Snows, the Museum of Moslavina regional museum...)
- Exploring surroundings and environment that will include exploring Lonja valley and vineyard slopes of Moslavina hills with possible visits to archaeological sites
- International evening with a presentation of the region or country from which volunteers come (when packing bear that in mind and bring items that could attract the attention of other participants).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Things to bring: Typical staff from their country, such as games, music, food... We prefer motivation letter along with the idea for the workshop so we could prepare possible technical or whatsoever needs. We require a certificate of being not convicted (police check).

Wander- und Radwegpflege am Una Fluss

PROJECT: This is 3rd camp organized with the NGO Una from Srb. Srb belongs to Municipality Gracac and it is most famous for the spring of the beautiful river Una. This years camp is part of the IPA cross border project Una i Spring of Life . The Camp will include environmental protection and (renovation) reconstruction of walking and biking trails and tourist sites in order to revitalize tourism.
WORK: Renovation of walking and biking trails (cutting the vegetation around the track, leveling the soil where needed, etc.), cleaning the river and stream from trash, setting up of tourist information boards (digging a hole in the ground, placing the wooden pillars, attaching wooden panels to pillars). In case of bad weather volunteers will work in local sports hall, painting woodwork, cleaning and painting walls and ceiling.
ACCOMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated in the municipality building in the center of Srb. There they have 220m2 of space to use (two bedrooms, two toilets, one shower, kitchen and living room..)
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Presentation of IPA cross border project Una i Spring of Life (including planed workcamp program and expected results) and presentation of Srb area and local ethno songs and games. Visiting local farms and learning about the rural life. Sports program includes football tournament.

Workshops mit Kindern/Jugendlichen und Renovierungsarbeiten

PROJECT: Petrinja is town close to Zagreb, famous for its meat industry, meat products and first Croatian salami and it celebrates 320 years of delicious presence on the dining tables around the world. The town hosts numerous sports, entertainment and cultural events, in the town and on the banks of river Kupa. One of the most popular is Summer in Petrinja on the beach of river Kupa where most of workcamp activities will be held.
WORK: Volunteers will work with kids and youth on different workshops during the festival Summer in Petrinja, one part of workcamp will include renovation work in the town (f.e. renovating benches, painting the walls). The Workcamp will include various activities for volunteers such as intercultural day with foreign ambassadors in Croatia, participation in fishing and fish cooking competitions...
ACCOMODATION: In the facilities of a local sports club (sleeping bag is necessary, sleeping mat is optional), food will partly be prepared by volunteers, partly by partner NGO
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Local art and history, such as traditional dances, production of souvenirs and meat products.
REQUIREMENTS: Things to bring: Typical staffs from their country, such as games, music, food..., as much as possible to be used for intercultural day. Volunteers skilled in working with kids and youth (dancing, acting, drawing, creating) are very welcome

Workshops mit Kindern auf der Insel Brac

PROJECT: This workcamp is being organized for the 9th time in cooperation with Center for children without parental care Saint Ana (Vinkovci, East Croatian) at their summer house in Supetar, Island Brac.
WORK: Creative workshops with children. Topics: ecology, communication and drama workshops, socializing and playing on the beach, help with cooking in the summer house kitchen. The work is scheduled during mornings and afternoons.
ACCOMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated inside the summer house in shared bed rooms, with shared bathrooms.
LOCATION AND LEISURE: Related to children without parental care, concerning law issues and situation in Croatia. Volunteers are welcome to contribute with international examples and experience.

Umweltprojekt in Karlovac

PROJECT: 4th workcamp in a row organized with NGO EKO PAN from Karlovac. This is 12 days workcamp, 1 free day, 6 working hours per day
WORK: Gardening work f.e.: cutting branches, mowing, building fence, planting, composting. The project also involves building an earth ship.
ACCOMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated in primary school in Barilovic (sleeping bag is necessary, sleeping mat is optional).
