Bislang haben sich 15 Organisationen zum South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) zusammengeschlossen, um Austausch und Zusammenarbeit untereinander und mit Workcamp-Organisationen aus aller Welt zu ermöglichen. Unser Partner in Kroatien heißt Volunteer Centre Zagreb (VCZ). Das Volunteer Centre Zagreb bietet nun schon seit einigen Jahren eine größere Anzahl von Workcamps an. |
Die Camps in der Balkanregion sind oft recht kurz. Daher lohnt sich eine Kombination von zwei Camps der gleichen Organisation. Wegen der geringen Entfernungen zwischen den jetzt unabhängigen Teilrepubliken ist auch eine Kombination mit Camps von anderen SEEYN-Organisationen leicht möglich. Um Versicherungsschutz musst du dich selber kümmern.
Wir können dir einen Fahrtkostenzuschuss über 50€ auszahlen, wenn die Kriterien erfüllt sind.
Kroatien HR-VCZ 6.2 Building New World - Blatusa 16.06.-30.06.2013 ENVI 8vols
PROJECT:The Camp is situated in eco-village Blatuša (75km from Zagreb), where several members and enthusiasts of the association Ecosense live in imaginative and quite cheaply restored wooden houses that provide those nature lovers the comfort which city residents living in the concrete cages cannot even dream about.
WORK:Building house from natural materials (wooden construction, putting boards on the roof, making mud walls, digging drainage canal…) and cleaning terrain around houses (digging roots, filling holes with earth…). Volunteers will work 6 hours per day (3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon) or less depending the weather and the difficulty of the work. Volunteers will have 2 days free. In case of bad weather work is under the roof.
STUDY THEME:There will be organized video projection of documentary movies about ecological building and other ecological themes towards the interest of the volunteers, representing eco-village community and the way of its functioning.
ACCOMODATION:TheAccommodation is at the same venue as a workcamp. Volunteers will sleep in their own tents or in tee-pee by their wishes. Those who don’t have the opportunity to bring a tent can borrow one. A sleeping bag is required. Sanitary facilities are modest, meaning solar shower and compost toilet. There is no electricity at the workcamp venue, but it can be found and used in the main house in the eco-village, e.g. for charging the mobile phones. Food will be vegetarian but it is acceptable if someone brings and prepare meat.

Kroatien HR-VCZ 5.1 Kutina 2013 22.06.-07.07.2013 KIDS/YOUTH/ELDE 12vols
PROJECT: The camp is located in the small industrial town of Kutina, 80 km from Croatian capital Zagreb, 30 km from the border with Bosnia & Herzegovina. The work will take place in a dormitory in Kutina. The local organization is an association for social development. UP Association has 8 years of experience in organizing volunteer workcamps. Most of the volunteers’ job is to design and conduct creative workshops with children and adolescents aged 9-16 years. These can be outdoor activities, art activities, language courses, organizing board games, etc…
WORK: Volunteers should transfer skills to kids and youngsters through different workshops and activities for local kids and youngsters - dancing, acting, juggling, music, creative skills... they will be helped by one local volunteer. Any skill that volunteers have is a good potential for the workshop with kids. You can even teach kids your mother tongue.
ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is arranged in a boarding school (dormitory) in Kutina, near the centre of the town. 2-4 bedded rooms, shared bathroom, shared social room with music unit and TV, kitchen, dining room, study room in a neighboring building, library, classrooms, and most of the work will be held on the yard in the shade of an old walnut. There is a small sports ground. There is internet access.
TERMINAL: Kutina - very well connected with Zagreb, where the majority of volunteers will arrive by plane, train or bus. For further information follow: www.kutina.hr

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: We prefer a motivation letter along with the idea for the workshop so we can prepare possible tools or equipment for the workshops. We require a certificate of good conduct (Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis).
