Vermittlungsgebühr 150 € (+extra fee 180 €)


Projekte in Kirgistan (auch Kirgisistan) werden von der 2005 gegründeten  Freiwilligenorganisation Leadership organisiert. Die Organisation hat ihren Sitz in der nordöstlich gelegenen Stadt Karakol, wo auch die meisten Projekte stattfinden.
Für die Finanzierung der 2wöchigen Projekte wird vor Ort eine Extra-Gebühr von 180€ fällig.

Für eine Teilnahme an einem Projekt in Kirgistan empfehlen wir Workcamp-Vorerfahrung und Grundkenntnisse in Russisch. Seit 2012 ist für die Einreise nach Kirgistan für einen Aufenthalt von bis zu 60 Tagen kein Visum mehr erforderlich. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt benötigt man ein Visum und muss sich bei einer staatlichen Behörde registrieren.

Workcamp in einer Einrichtung fuer Kinder mit Behinderungen

PROJECT: This PA " Baldar Omur Bulagy " was established on May 6, 2006 on the initiative of the mothers of children with disabilities. The creation of a stable base to support children with disabilities and their families in all areas of life. In the organization are conducted classes in elementary school program individually with each child, as well as educational classes and clubs by interests (origami, sewing, painting, etc.). The organization has five employees and one volunteer from " JICA ".
21 children attend the center of the organization. Tup (Kirgh. Tүp) - the administrative center of the district of Tup. Located in the eastern part of the Issyk-Kul, 27 km from the regional center - the city of Karakol.
Project goals:
• Organize children’s leisure time through develop child's fine motor skills, dance classes, and English language lessons.
• Participate in daily activities and spend leisure time with the children.
• Assist in improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families.
WORK: During the project, volunteers will conduct English trainings, various games, and develop child's fine motor skills in their leisure time. Volunteers with children will also organize basic activities trainings.

LOCATION: The camp will be held in Tup (Kirgh. Tүp) village in the eastern part of the Issyk-Kul, 27 km from the regional center - the city of Karakol.
LANGUAGE: English, there will be a camp-leader who will interpret and help in all ways of communication.
ACCOMMODATION: Basic rooms with beds and shared rooms. Kitchen supplies will be available. Volunteers should bring sleeping bags. You will join your team for breakfast and dinner; lunch will be provided at the office together with other members of PA “Baldar Omur Bulagy”.
FOOD: For the weekend excursion, volunteers are requested to take a personal plate and utensil set for the trek, cooking will be done as a group.
GROUP: Mixed, composed of international volunteers and 1 camp leader, and local volunteers; kids are not official members of the volunteer team, but play an integral role in the project. Participants will manage the working hours and free time activities with the local camp leaders. Decisions will be made through group discussion.

Mithilfe beim Festival zum Stadtjubilaeum von Karakol

PROJECT: Public Union “Destination Karakol” formed by the local stakeholders in March 2016 serves as the umbrella for tourism management, marketing and development activities on and for the town. It consists of representatives of local SME, local authorities, hotels and NGOs.
Ultimate goal of the organization is to unite all local tourism stakeholders and create an environment in the destination that may allow extended length of tourist stay in the city thanks to the comprehensive and updated information on the attractions made available to visitors and the high quality products, services and activities provided and touristic sites infrastructure. It is envisioned to be implemented by improving local infrastructure, increasing the number of products and quality of tourism services and improving awareness of “things to do” in and around the city.
About Festival:
Karakol Festival 2017 is devoted to the town’s birthday. This year will be 148 year since Karakol town was established. Annually there are a lot of events held in Karakol. Karakol Fest is going to be a first event which will last 4 days, and will have a different format in terms of activities and content. According to the world statistics one of the main attractions for the tourists is not only natural assets, but also events. So this event will engage all type of local people and tourists of different age category starting from children and adults.
Project goals:
• To increase town’s attractiveness for the foreign tourist and locals
• popularization of active family activities
• To stimulate understanding of art local citizen identity
• To create and promote town’s branding and identity
• To show it’s richness of the culture and nationalities live
• To co-lead and to co-organize activities for children (creative and artistic workshops, sports activities,...).
• To develop a bicycle workshop (lessons, rules of the road,...).
• To co-organize workshops with families in order to improve communication and community harmony
• (sport and hand-made workshop or any other activities that volunteers want to organize).
• Volunteers will also have the opportunity to develop a personal project linked to the park’s values.
• preparation and organization of artistic performances;
• coloring, repair work - preparation for the opening of the park.
WORK: The main purpose of the camp is to ensure that volunteers will have the best week of their lives through exchanging of experiences, knowledge and will experience richness of local hospitality and culture and energy. Campers will help to arrange an interesting and creative festival which involves the whole community, state offices, youth and NGOs of the town. Volunteers will integrate the service of leisure activities, whose aims are, on the one side, to support children and teenagers in their summer holidays, on the other, to organize leisure time activities, mainly in the social and cultural field, for the residents. Some activities in the neighborhood are also carried out, whose aim is to raise awareness in the local community. Volunteers will work with children and with adults.
• With children: volunteers will co-organize and co-lead after-school activities, inside or outside the park, workshops according to their abilities and to the needs of residents (games, DIY workshops, help with homework...).
• With adults (and more specifically with women): volunteers will be asked to organize different kind of activities (from sports to social activities or cultural happenings) according to their interests and possibilities within the park.

Volunteers will be divided into teams and work together with local youth on different “zones” of the festival such as exhibition, food, photo, game, music, dance, master classes zones and etc. according to their skills. They will be able to show their talents and creativity. Together with local organizers campers will coordinate and supervise all the activities held in different parts of the town.
LEISURE: On the weekend volunteers will have an opportunity to visit Karakol town and see its sightseeing. Volunteers will have opportunity to swim in the lake “Issyk-Kul” and visit historical sights Saymaluu Tash, Rukh Ordo. PROJECT: Meerim Bulagy Orphanage is located in Issyk-Kul Oblast, in Ak-Bulun village. Family Orphanage is a governmental property and currently cares 15 children, aged 4 to 18. Children speak Kyrgyz language and study at secondary schools in the village. The children have many opportunities to participate in different kinds of activities at the orphanage such as dressmaking class, drawing and dancing classes, and sport clubs, computer club. The orphanage staff is 18. They have good experience working with international volunteers. Each year they host up to 3-4 international guests.
Project goals:
• Organize children’s leisure time through conducting games, sport competitions, dance classes, and English language lessons.
• Participate in daily orphanage activities and spend leisure time with the children.
WORK: During the project, volunteers will conduct English trainings, various games, and sporting events with orphanage children in their leisure time. Volunteers with children will also organize basic environment trainings.

Umweltprojekt in einer grossen Baumschule bei Karakol

PROJECT: This Ak-Suu Nursery Forest was founded in 1949 and is situated in Ak-Suu Village, 15 km from Karakol. It is unique because it is the only organization of its kind in Kyrgyzstan. Ak-Suu Nursery Forest covers 1529 hectares of landscape. Each year they plant trees, care for young seedlings, and protect the soil, while one of the main goals of the nursery is the cultivation of non-native crops. There are 120 kinds of bushes and trees, 111 of which are non-native, 33 kinds of birches, several kinds of pine, acacia and maple in the territory of the nursery. An arboretum was also founded there, where rare and unique plants growing in the territory of Kyrgyzstan and beyond the borders of the country are collected.
All studies and work at the nursery are under observation from the Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, work is underway on the acclimatization of beech, common eastern hemlock, and European hornbeam trees.
Project goals: Maintain nursery through caring for young trees (watering, weeding, trimming, etc)
WORK: During this 2-week camp, volunteers will take care of young trees (seedlings), water, weed, and trim the area of the nursery.
LEISURE: On the weekend volunteers will have an opportunity to visit one of many beautiful sites around Ak-Suu and its health resorts and have a hiking trip to Altyn-Arashan.
LOCATION: Ak-Suu is situated 15 km from Karakol, the Issyk-Kul Oblast centre. Ak-Suu region is one of the region’s oldest districts, full of hot springs for health and leisure. Surrounded completely by mountains, this location is very picturesque.
LANGUAGE: English
ACCOMMODATION: Basic cabins with beds and shared rooms. Kitchen supplies will be available. Volunteers will bathe in bathhouses 2 times per week at a former Soviet resort in Ak-Suu. Volunteers should bring sleeping bags.
FOOD:Cooking will be done by volunteers in the kitchen with all necessary supplies provided.

PROJECT: Inclusive kindergarten Kiyal Kechter is located in Issyk-Kul Oblast, in Teplokluchenko village. The creation of a stable base to support children with disabilities and their families in all areas of life. In the organization are conducted classes before school program individually with each child, as well as educational classes and clubs by interests (origami, sewing, painting, etc.). Children speak Kyrgyz and Russian languages. They have good experience working with international volunteers. Each year they host up to 3-4 international guests.
The Inclusive kindergarten Kiyal Kechter realize activities in several directions:
1. To providing rehabilitation services to children with disabilities;
2. Access to education;
3. To engaging and activating parental initiatives;
4. To reducing stigma and the involvement of children with disabilities in the activities of the local community.
Project goals:
• Organize children’s leisure time through conducting games, sport competitions, dance classes, and English language lessons.
• Participate in daily kinder garden activities and spend leisure time with the children.

WORK: During the project, volunteers will conduct English trainings, various games, and sporting events with children in their leisure time. Volunteers with children will also organize basic environment trainings.
LEISURE: On the weekend volunteers will have an opportunity to visit Karakol town and see its sightseeing. Another option would be to hike up to the nearby Altyn Arashan health resort where you can enjoy natural hot springs. Internationales Workcamp in einem Reha Zentrum fuer benachteiligte Kinder

PROJECT: The PA Rehabilitation Centre «The way to a dream» to create favorable conditions for social adaptation and rehabilitation to children with limited opportunities, to organize safe and favorable house, food, sanitary-hygiene services, to teach the basics of reading and writing, to educate skills. Our organization directly works with children with disabilities. We are their parents and we have some experience in the organization of nursery school with our participation.
All of our work is to find funds to help families with disabled children, because mainly there are low-income families, jobless or families where the parents themselves are disabled.
The «Abilis» fund’s project implemented for resistance of organization over the past year, conducted training of children with impaired hearing and speech, primary school preparation, English lessons. However because of the lack of resources the work stopped. Now we are looking for resources to organize educational work for pupils of Center.
We are active in participation of Center’s children in public events as exhibitions, fairs, festivals, contest where exhibited crafts and souvenirs made by our children. Pupils of our Center have a great desire to improve and develop skills using innovative methods and the technology of manufacturing crafts and souvenirs made with their own hands. Selling it what will give them funds to be independence in self-development. It requires identification of potential in children to create a comprehensive learning at the Center. That will allow us to use children’s talent, develop knowledge and skills.

Issyk Kul has always been very tolerant towards to any religion or doctrine on historical pathway. There were crossed paths of different faiths and religions. Apostle Thomas has walked here. The relics of the Apostle Matthew find place here. Alexander the Great established the city. There are a lot of Muslim and Buddhist shrines here. Tamerlane has visited many times. Genghis Khan sent his commander and son to Issyk-kul. The pilgrims were brought to the Issyk-kul by Great Silk Road in search of something special. Who knows? Maybe you will be the one to find something special too. Welcome, dear volunteer!
Issyk-Kul was used as a recreational mass tourism during the soviet time, the North Coast of the lake was the health resort for all Soviet Union.
The main idea of the camp is to create a model for authentic tourism as an alternative for resort "paradise". South Coast is now becoming more popular among the tourists. Apricot guest house is the only one in Zhenish village of Jeti-Oguz district. The cultivation and sale of apricots and livestock are the main sources of incomes of rural people here. It is the seasonal income. The sale process of apricots is carried out as raw materials for neighboring countries. It’s productivity depends on weather and climate. Ecotourism is alternative income for local people.
Volunteers are invited for two weeks to equip a small street, which leads to the house using local materials and try to build a small authentic energy-efficient house. In addition volunteers will have experience in manufacturing of local eco-products. This work will be an ecotourism model for local people in the village. This work will change attitudes of men and women, children and teenagers about sustainable tourism, green technologies and trends. Conversations and actions with local children and young people will expand their understanding about the open world, volunteering and hospitality. They will learn to smile and be tolerant towards people of different cultures.
Project goals: To spread green skills, development of sustainable tourism and eco-construction.
WORK: • Construction of the model house using local natural materials (stone, clay, reed, wood, sawdust) for organization of hotel training for local people.

• Environmental action and organization of recycling system
• Increase ecotourism development
• Making felted materials
• Production of natural apricot soap
• Help in the shop in production of natural juices and jams
• Work with children and young people
• Help and teach to measure energy efficient enhancement of homes
LEISURE: On the weekend volunteers will have an opportunity to visit Karakol town and see its sights. There are Skazka Fairy Tale Canyon, Barskoun Waterfalls, a lot of hot springs around Apricot Guest House. For more information about the above locations and Kyrgyzstan please visit www.welcome.kg
LOCATION: The camp will be held in Jenish village ( or Chychkan by GPS) which is 60 km to the west from regional centre Karakol and 340 km away from capital city Bishkek through South coast of Issyk-kul.
LANGUAGE: English, there will be a camp-leader who will interpret and help in all ways of communication.
ACCOMMODATION: The Apricot Guest House is the home for tourists. There is a large room under the roof as the hostel or tents. Shower will be available every day.
FOOD: Cooking will be done by volunteers in the kitchen with all necessary utilities for cooking.
GROUP: Mixed, composed of approximately 5+ international, 2 United States Peace Corps volunteers and 2 local volunteers. Volunteers will manage working hours and free time activities with the camp leaders. Decisions will be made based on discussions with the whole group. Local residents who wish to be involved will be welcomed.
MEETING POINT: Zhenish village of Jety Ogus district (Chichkan by GPS), Issyk-kul region, Ishen Baysynov street #49 Apricot Guest House. Take a minibus from the West new bus station in Bishkek to South Shore till Zhenish village of Jety Ogus district (Chichkan by GPS) Bishkek-Zhenish route is around 340 km. The village is after Ak Terek village and before Darkhan village. Price for one place in minibus is 300 KG soms. Price for one place in taxi is around 700 Kg soms
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Volunteers should come with their own health and accident insurance. A more detailed packing list will be sent after applying, a basic list includes: back-pack, sleeping bag, raingear, warm clothes, and comfortable shoes for hiking, a swimsuit, sunscreen, insect repellent, a torch, your national recipes, music, songs, games, energy and a good mood!
EXTRA FEE: 180 Euro should be paid upon arrival. The fee covers accommodation, food, transportation, recreation and organizational costs.
