Vermittlungsgebühr für längerfristige Projekte 180 € (+ extra fee vor Ort)

In Ecuador werden die Projekte von der Fundación Chiriboga organisiert, mit der IBG bis 2002 gemeinsam Projekte in Ecuador aufgebaut hat. Inzwischen steht die Fundación auf eigenen Beinen und organisiert ihre Projekte selbstständig.
Für alle Projekte in Ecuador muss vor Ort eine zusätzliche Gebühr (extra fee) von 320€ pro Monat gezahlt werden, die sowohl für Unterkunft und Verpflegung verwendet wird, als auch das lokale Projekt finanziell unterstützt.

Für die längeren Projekte in Lateinamerika ist eine gehörige Portion Flexibilität erforderlich, Offenheit gegenüber fremden Kulturen sowie die Fähigkeit, sich Rhythmus und Lebensstil anpassen zu können, gehören ebenfalls dazu. Nicht immer wird vor Ort alles so laufen, wie es vorher auf dem Papier stand - aber auch das ist Teil einer interkulturellen Erfahrung.
Als zusätzliche Teilnahmebedingung für Camps in Lateinamerika bitten wir folgendes zu beachten: Gute Spanischkenntnisse sind Voraussetzung, Erfahrungen mit Lateinamerika oder Workcamps sind sehr von Vorteil.


EDU-FP-ECH School Placement Programs in the Coast, Highlands and Amazon 8 weeks to 10 month EDU/TEACH 1 to 3 vols
WORK: Volunteers are needed nationwide to teach English and Computers (if the school has computers available). Based on the volunteer's skills and education, it is also possible to volunteer as teachers' aid for subjects like Math, World History, Environment, Grammar, Science, etc. This project offers the opportunity so that the volunteers assist the students of Elementary Schools located at rural areas, where their limited income students do not have access to English and/or Computer teachers.
The majority of the communities where the volunteers make an Education Placement have energy, communication and current water, but please this is not a general situation, there are towns where current water is not available
Volunteering consists in; teaching Basic English, Computer and Environmental lessons in country schools with no resources, from the Coast, Highlands and Amazon. For those who have good Spanish knowledge we arrange in the afternoons after the school timeassistance to children who have learning problems. Volunteers will help them in reading, writing, grammar, mathematics, principally in the schools from the Coast.
The Schools do not have didactic materials for English lessons; volunteers are responsible to prepare this material in benefit of the schools, to make exams, and evaluations as well as for each grade, a report about the achievement of the students and goals must be given to the Principals of the schools.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: provided by middle class families or with the School teachers. Food (three meals per day are provided during the placement) based on the Ecuadorian diet.
SPECIAL REMARKS: Minimum time for volunteering is 8 weeks with the possibility to extend it to up to 10 months .
EXTRA FEE: 300 € (per month). Fee includes 4 weeks lodging, three meals per day ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) and administrative assistance in the foundation.
Fee does not include: Transportation, bottled water, extra food and extra beverages, phone calls, internet access and laundry.
Good knowledge of Spanish language is required!

DISEDU-FP-ECH "Special needs School Placement (Quito)" 8 weeks to 10 month EDU/DISA /KIDS 1 to 3 vols
Located in the south of Quito, this school for mentally challenged children offers programs to prepare them for their future and how to become independent individuals. Volunteers interested in this school will need to stay a minimum of 8 weeks, in order to follow up with the children's progress.
WORK: Work consists in assisting the teachers taking care of the children, to play and teach them new games, the volunteers also will help the children in the lunch time, helping them to learn how eat by them selves. Volunteers will work from Monday to Friday, afternoons free and weekends off.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Accommodation, breakfast and dinner is provided at the Foundation's house in Quito.
SPECIAL REMARK: Minimum time of volunteering is 8 weeks with the possibility to extend it up to 10 months.
EXTRA FEE: 300 € /months (to be paid upon your arrival).
Fee includes: Four weeks lodging, breakfast and dinner and administrative assistance in the foundation offices.
Fee does not include: Lunch, all types of transportation, bottled water, extra food, extra beverages, phone calls, internet and laundry.

SEDUAL-FP-ECH "WORK WITH CHILDREN"  8 weeks to 10 month   EDU/KIDS   1 to 3 vols
Located in Colonial Quito, these wonderful project benefits low income children and women who work in the streets, and children and adolescents whose parents can not give them total attention in their homes.
The first project helps children ages 5 to 16 years old by providing a safe place where the children can eat lunch, do homework, watch TV, play table soccer and take computer lessons and manual work.
Children and adolescents in age of risk are assisted by the staff of the program and volunteers; they are also assisted by a psychologist provided by the program.
The program also assists a group of children who could not been reintegrating in their own homes, due to problems which are difficult to be solved. The program created a "new home" a small but nice house located in the beginning of the down town where 18 children live with a lovable woman who becomes their mother from Monday to Friday, the children must spend weekends with their parents or relatives who have the obligation to give them a family atmosphere during weekends, in this form the programs looks for a way to reintegrate step by step the children with their family, psychological help is provided for the children and their parents and some times for the whole family. The program gives the children all the help they need like: protection, education, physical and mental health etc.
WORK: The volunteers can work on this project for a minimum of 8 weeks (from 10 am to 4 pm, from Monday to Friday). Work can be assisting the children with their homework in the mornings and afternoons, assistance in the program, e.g. serving food to an estimated 200 children and women who work in the streets and who are benefited by this program. The volunteers sometimes must teach or help in mathematics, English and some other subjects that the children need.

SEDUSCH-FP-ECH "STREET CHILDREN PROJECTS"   4 - 8 months    KIDS/SOCI   1-3 vols
Located in Colonial Quito, these wonderful project benefits low income children who work in the streets, and children and adolescents whose parents can not give them total attention in their homes.
The project helps children providing a safe place where the children can do homework, watch TV, play table soccer, and to have lunch.
Children and adolescents in age of risk are assisted by the staff of the program and volunteers; they are also assisted by a psychologist provided by the program.
WORK: In this project, the volunteer has the opportunity to look for the children in the streets with the "Educator", making their work directly in the streets, visiting the families to know why the children abandoned their homes, why the parents can not protect their children.
The program has several centers where the children can play and make their homework; volunteers assist to these centers, helping the children and the staff of the center.
In this program the volunteers are responsible to assist the children with their homework and to make recreation activities and to visit other centers in other provinces with the children. ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: will be provided at the Foundation`s house in Quito.
SPECIAL REMARKS: Minimum time required by the program is 16 weeks up to 36 weeks.

SEDUN-FP-ECH   "Helping in a nursery"   8 weeks to 12 month   KIDS/EDU    1 to 3 vols
The Daycare centre is located in the southeast of Quito, children whose mothers work on the streets, or domestic servants are admitted in this project. Children from 1 to 12 years old are assisted in this site.
WORK: volunteers can assist the teachers with teaching the children to write their first letters, to learn the colors, numbers in Spanish Language, to draw, to paint, to play and to sing. The volunteers can assist for a minimum of 8 weeks (working hours from 8:00am to 16:00pm. Volunteering is from Monday to Friday, weekends off)

SEDUO-FP-ECH "Home for kids (Orphanage)" 8 weeks to 10 months KIDS/EDU 1 to 3 vols
Located in Quito city and in other cities of Ecuador, these orphanages for boys or girls, welcome them and provides a safe, loving atmosphere. Boy's and girl's ages 6 to 18 years old are welcomed here. In cases of mentally challenged or any disability, exceptions for the age can be considered, admitting individuals up to 20 years of age.
WORK: Volunteers work from 08:00 am to 16:00 pm, teaching English and Computers at the School located at this Orphanage, low income children who are not orphans come to this school to eat lunch. Volunteers can also assist serving lunch.
The volunteers must be able to contribute with recreational activities with children or teaching children any kind of creative activity. Children create some items made of recycled paper in order to sell them on Christmas time. In the afternoons there are a variety of workshops like carpentry, bakery and handicrafts.
Volunteering is from Monday to Friday, weekends off.
